An amazing combination of sweet and savory that melts in your mouth – try this simple, six ingredient recipe.  

Maple Bacon Biscuits
One dozen biscuits 

Ingredients 

  • Four cups Farmer Brothers buttermilk biscuit mix 
  • One and one-half cups of buttermilk 
  • Six ounces maple syrup 
  • Six and one-half tablespoons butter, melted 
  • One-half pound bacon, cooked and diced 
  • One cup brown sugar 

Directions 

  • Preheat oven to 400˚F. 
  • In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, melted butter, cooked diced bacon and brown sugar until mixed thoroughly. 
  • Using a non-stick, 9” x 13” pan, spread mixture evenly in the bottom of pan.  
  • Place in freezer for five minutes, until set. 
  • Prepare biscuits per package instructions with buttermilk. 
  • Space biscuits evenly on top of the mixture. 
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are fully cooked and biscuit tops are golden brown. 
  • Remove from the oven. Let cool for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
